Sedalia Couple Suffered Fatal Injuries in a Jackson County Accident Saturday

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report, an elderly couple from Sedalia suffered fatal injuries in a one vehicle rollover accident Saturday morning.

The accident happened according to the report on Westbound 50-Highway at Easley Road in Jackson County, at 12am Saturday morning, when the 1999 Ford Taurus Wagon driven by 94-year-old Aven H. Cozad of Sedalia travelled off the roadway and overturned coming to rest on its top.

Cozad and his passenger, 84-year-old Beradine N. Cozad, also of Sedalia, were transported to Lees Summitt Medical center by Lees Summit Fire, where both were pronounced deceased by Doctor Watts.
