According to a Press Release from the Sedalia Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit, at 6:35 Friday morning Officers and Detectives with the Sedalia Police Department served a no-knock drug related search warrant at 319 West 10th Street.

Upon entry three adults were located and detained without incident. A subsequent search of the apartment revealed methamphetamine, marijuana, controlled prescription medication, and drug paraphernalia.

Following the investigation officers arrested two of the adults, identified as 21-year-old Nicole L. Vanhook and 30-year-old Shawnna L. Cochran, both of Sedalia. Vanhook faces charges of possession of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia. Vanhook was also found to have an active failure to appear warrant out of Pettis County on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, with a cash only bond of $142.50 cash only.

Cochran has charges of possession of a controlled substance (Clonazepam), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both suspects were transported to the Pettis County, and placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges. The third person in the residence was released at the scene without charges.
