Sedalia Kiwanis Club Organizes Local Fundraisers [INTERVIEW]
At the Kiwanis International Foundation, they work hard for children at risk and under-served children, the children who need help most. Working together with Kiwanis International, they serve the children of the world, supporting the Kiwanis International mission. They also do a lot of work here locally with their programs for kids here in Sedalia, and also helping out the elderly in our area, too. The lion’s share of their work happens at the club level, as Kiwanis members raise funds to underwrite foundation grants and improve their communities and the world. They give youth scholarships. They support Kiwanis International’s Service Leadership Programs for youth. They’re always working to bring new ideas to our community to raise money for those who need it.
There are some great things being planned right now that you can find out more about with the Sedalia Kiwanis. Here’s my talk with Dave Kelley of the Kiwanis about their Peanut Program, Have Santa Will Travel, and some other great projects.
If you or someone you know would either like to contribute to the cause or get your workplace signed up for the Peanut Program, or join in on the Have Santa, Will Travel program, call Dave at 826-8218. You can stay posted here on our websites for updates from the Kiwanis as the Holiday Season approaches.
