28-year-old Demario Claxton was arrested following a Sedalia STING Unit investigation. Sedalia Police with the patrol division, detectives with the Criminal Investigations Bureau and detectives and the Drug Enforcement Unit all responded to 522 North Osage to serve a no knock drug related search warrant.

Claxton was found walking out the front door on September 5, by officers and he fled back into the home. Officers made their way into the home and found Claxton in possession of marijuana.

A more detailed search of the home was later conducted, where crack-cocaine, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia and additional evidence of drug distribution was located.

An investigation was also found to be distributing all three substances from the home. Claxton was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, three counts of distribution of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Claxton's bond was set at $500,000 cash/surety bond for the charges, which were filed.
