A Sedalia man was arrested for second degree arson following a structure fire on June 1 at 2200 E. Broadway. John Paul Nevels, 62, listed as homeless, was questioned about the fire the next day and he admitted to setting the blaze. He was being held on a 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail for second degree arson.

Danielle D. Ketcher, 22, was arrested June 7 at Henry and Missouri on a Saline County warrant. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a $10,000 cash bond.

Cierra Catherine Pierce, 25, was arrested by Sedalia Police just after 1 a.m. this morning (June 8) after police responded to a verbal disturbance in the 1400 block of South Kentucky. A computer check revealed she was had active warrant out of Johnson County. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a $25,000 cash-only bond. A court date has yet to be determined.

On June 7 around 6:37 p.m., police responded to a report of a man trying to sell drugs in Liberty Park. Officers located the man, identified as Christopher Lee Gettings, of the 1000 block of W. Third. A search revealed Gettings had a small amount of marijuana on him. He was issued a summons and released. However, he was later arrested at Break Time, 318 W. Broadway on trespassing charges at 2:22 a.m. Today (June 8).

Tiffany Suzanne Epp, 40, was arrested on Tuesday evening for Failure to Appear after police took an assault report from her at the station. She reported a theft from her residence, and that the suspect had hit her and stole some of her belongings, taking them to a neighbor's house. A computer check revealed she had an active Municipal warrant for Failure to Obey. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a $150 cash-only bond.

On Tuesday night, police arrested Eric A. Tobin, 28, in the 1400 block of S. Sneed, on two active warrants out of Platte County for a traffic offense. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a $400 bond and a court date to be determined.

On Tuesday evening, Police arrested William Chet Gardner, 40, after responding to a domestic assault call in the 200 block of South Grand. Gardner was wanted on a Municipal warrant for Failure to Appear and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Austin J. Roerdanz, 26, Sedalia, was arrested for assault on Tuesday afternoon after officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of W. Third. The victim said the father of her child slapped her on her butt. Roerdanz was issued a city summons for domestic assault. No medical attention was required for the child, the report said.

Jack R. Marsh, 40, was arrested at Limit and Liberty Park Blvd., on the night of June 4 after a traffic stop for a defective tail light. He was arrested for Driving While Suspended or Revoked. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released, pending charges, the report said.

A theft report was taken June 6 involving the theft of a weed eater valued at $140 and a nail gun valued at $129 from a shed located in the 1100 block of Ware.

Someone reported the theft of a license plate taken from the 500 block of W. Seventh sometime between Monday and Tuesday.

And Pettis County Deputies arrested Ronald Eugene Thornton on two outstanding warrants on Tuesday at the Sheriff's Office.
