Sedalia Man Injured in Pettis County Crash

A Sedalia man suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred in Pettis County on Tuesday evening at 6:10 p.m.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 28-year-old Joseph M. Bascom was the driver of a southbound 2006 Honda CBR 600 on Route O south of Griessen Road, when he failed to negotiate a curve and the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, where it struck a ditch.

Bascom was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by private vehicle. According to the report, he was wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. The Honda had moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
