Sedalia Man Injured in Wreck on Route U

A 56-year old Sedalia man was injured Friday evening in a one-vehicle wreck on Route U.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck around 5:30, on Route U just south of Covered Bridge Road in Pettis County.

According to the online crash report, a 2011 Ford turned on to a private drive then struck a fence, a gate and a tree.

The driver of the Ford, Johnnie S. Sherrill, of Sedalia, suffered minor injuries in the wreck. He was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center, by PCAD, for treatment.

The Highway Patrol report indicates Sherrill was also arrested for DWI, Misdemeanor marijuana possession, Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia, Careless and Imprudent Driving, No Seat Belt, and No Insurance.
