Sedalia Man Killed in Tractor Accident

A Sedalia man was killed in a Tuesday morning tractor accident in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident just after 8:00, on Highway 65, just south of Highway V.

According to the online crash report, a 1998 Kenworth struck the rear of a 1971 John Deere Tractor. The collision caused the tractor to overturn and eject the driver, identified as 73-year old Charles C. Griggs. The tractor came to rest on its side.

Griggs was taken to Centerpoint Hospital by EMS, where he was pronounced deceased.

According to the report, the driver of the Kenworth, 36-year old Terry D. Dabney, of Marshfield, MO, was not injured.
