The fifth grade orchestra performed the “William Tell Overture” by Gioachino Rossini and “Tiger Tango,” an original composition by director Michael Moellman. The sixth grade orchestra played “Jupiter” by Gustav Holst and “Sonata in F Major” by Antonio Vivaldi. The fifth grade band offered a traditional French folk song, “Pierrot (Au clair de la lune)” and “Along Came A Spider” by Mike Hannickel. The sixth grade band played “Carnival of Venice” arranged by John Higgins and closed the show with the theme from “The Flintstones.” The bands are directed by Ashley Peck and the show was hosted by student Chase McMullin, a trumpet player who injured his arm and could not perform.
