The Place at the Lake is a great organization down in Lincoln that works diligently for domestic violence awareness. They provide support, help, shelter and encouragement to those affected by domestic violence. They're reaching out to the folks of Pettis County and Sedalia with their new fundraiser, and it looks like it'll be a lot of fun!

The Place at the Lake Benefit Fundraiser will take place on Oct.12 at the Moose Lodge, 199 Winchester Road in Sedalia. They’ll have several events from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. for free admission. Of course, they'll have some great stuff like Rooster Races and the amazing Fish Fry held from 4:30 p.m to 7:00 p.m. The cost for the dinner is $8 in advance or $10 at the door.

They’ll have a full day of events including a cake walk, silent and live auction, live band Tobacco Row, lunch and door prizes. Tickets are available at PALS Treasures in Lincoln and at the Moose Lodge, or call to have your tickets delivered for free. Net profits will go to serve the Clients of the Place at the Lake. For more information, call 660-547-2821.

If you know someone who needs help from A Place At The Lake, they're over at 201 E Main St Lincoln. Remember, you can call them at (660) 547-2885. Let's all work together to end domestic violence with the Moose Lodge and APATL. Visit their website to find out how you can help them with their immediate needs.

Rooster-ily yours,
