A city street will be closed at 7:00 Thursday night to allow for rail crossing repairs.

The City of Sedalia says the work will be completed on the Union Pacific rail crossing at S. Harding Ave. from U.S. Highway 50 on the south and N. Harding Ave. from E. Harvey Street on the north.

The street will be closed to through traffic beginning at 7:00 p.m., Nov. 9. The repair will continue until 4:00 a.m., Nov. 10.

Motorists will need to find alternate routes in the area.

The City says that while Harding Ave. is closed, the nearest roadway providing access across the Union Pacific rail line is N. Engineer Ave.

Emmet Ave. is also closed and is expected to re-open at approximately 10:30 Thursday night (Nov 9).
