A Sedalia Police Officer was on routine patrol around 3:00a.m. Saturday morning when he conducted a vehicle check on a vehicle at 2nd and Washington. Police found that Trevor Leary was driving while suspended.  He was taken to the Pettis County Jail and has a bond of $531.50. 

On Friday afternoon a Sedalia Police Officer was driving in the area of 5th and Hancock when he noticed a truck license on a Chevy Malibu. After an investigation police arrested Angel Thomas and she was placed on 24 hour hold in the Pettis County Jail.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to 1908 South Lamine in reference to a theft. The victim reported that a Samsung Galaxy Cell Phone was stolen from her car while at 315 East 17th Street.

On Friday Sedalia Police responded to the 300 block of East Saline in reference to a burglary report. The victim stated that someone had entered her residence while she was sleeping and stole prescription medication from her kitchen table. There are no suspects at this time.

A victim in the 1500 block of East Broadway reported to police that someone had stolen a 24” Murray bicycle from their yard sometime between May 2nd and May 3rd.

 Pettis County Sheriff Deputies responded to 20863 Palmer Road in reference to a burglary report. The victim stated that someone had entered into her home. The investigation is still ongoing.

 Around 9:30 Friday evening there was a two-vehicle fatality accident on Westbound U.S. 50 in Johnson County. The accident occurred as Travis Arnold of Warrensburg lost control of his vehicle and travelled into the median. He then overcorrected and travelled back onto the roadway striking the vehicle driven by Ronnie Rollins of Lee’s Summit in the side. Arnold’s vehicle continued off the right side of the roadway, overturned and ejected all three passengers. Jacob Netz and Malcom Thomas of Warrensburg were pronounced dead at the scene. Travis Arnold was taken to Research Hospital by life flight.

 There was a two-vehicle accident that occurred around 1:30 Friday afternoon in Pettis County just east of U.S. 65. Viktor Melnichuk of Houstonia stopped in the east bound lane preparing to make a left turn into a private drive when a vehicle driven by Daniel Hieronymous of Hughesville crested the hill. Melnichuk did not see the motorcycle driven by Hieronymous and he made his left turn. These caused Hieronymouse to brake and skid and eventually overturn. Hieronymous was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center with moderate injuries.
