On Tuesday (June 13), Sedalia Police were dispatched to 19th Street and Brown Ave, in reference to a man who was intentionally setting a gold Oldsmoble on fire. According to the report, the man left the scene on foot. When Sedalia Police arrived, they noticed a match book on top of vehicle's motor. The motor was smoking and later caught fire. Crews from the Sedalia Fire Department arrived on scene and extinguished the fire. The Oldsmobile was towed from the scene. At this time, a suspect has not been located.


On Tuesday (June 13), Sedalia Police conducted a subject-check in the 4100 block of West Main Street. Officers made contact with an intoxicated man. A computer check revealed the man, 37-year old David E. Attebury, of Edwards, MO, had a probation violation warrant from Benton County. Attebury was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with no bond.


Around 8:15 Tuesday night (June 13), Sedalia Police responded to the 200 block of South Moniteau Ave, for a reported disturbance. The investigation revealed one of the people involved was the victim of property damage and motor vehicle tampering. According to the report, the victim's Chevy Malibu sustained moderate damage in the incident. There are two possible suspects in the case, but no names were released. The investigation is ongoing.


On Monday (June 12), Pettis County Sheriff's deputies responded to the 4500 block of South 65 Highway, in reference to an assault. According to the report, it was determined that the allegations of the assault were false, and charges are now pending on the person for filing the report. Two of the people who were suspected in the alleged assault, turned out to have Pettis County warrants. Stephanie N. Hughes was arrested with a bond of $15,000 and Hayden L. Rohrer was arrested with a bond of $150.
