The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's crime reports come from the morning of Thursday, Aug. 29.

Sedalia Police Investigating a Statutory Rape

A female subject reported to Sedalia Police that she was a victim of statutory rape in 2009 when she was 16 years old. The alleged offender is a male known to her. The investigation is ongoing.

Sedalia Police Investigating Several Thefts

A man in the 1900 Block of South Harrison reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke into his home and stole three firearms and a very collectible knife between 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 27 and 10 a.m. on Aug. 28.

Sedalia Police were on patrol in the area of Howard and Veterans Memorial Drive yesterday morning (Aug. 28). Sedalia Police saw a truck backed up to the tree line near the intersection. Sedalia Police found the truck was stolen out of Morgan County and was turned over to them.

A woman in the 3100 Block of West Broadway reported to Sedalia Police that her license plates were removed from her car while it was parked behind End Zone on Aug. 28.

The manager at America Auto Supply reported to Sedalia Police that license plates were stolen.

Pettis County Deputies responded to the 6000 Block of Highway 50 in reference to a domestic disturbance.

Several Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Beth Ford for a Pettis County warrant, bond set at $25,000 cash/surety and a Morgan County warrant, bond set at $5,000 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested David Braden for failure to appear out of Taney County, bond set at $5,000 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Shawn Spencer for failure to appear, bond set at $125 cash.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Tonya Skutnick for a Sedalia warrant, bond set at $88.50.
