On January 19 at approximately 6:45 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of S. Osage Ave. and W. 10th St. Police say that during the investigation, drug paraphernalia was located in the suspected vehicle. An occupant of the vehicle, 39-year-old James D. Gano of Sedalia, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released on the state charge.


Sedalia Police were dispatched to the American Inn just after 12 p.m. on January 19 for a possible disturbance in one of the rooms. Police say that upon arrival, several items of clothing and property were found thrown out into the parking lot. According to a Sedalia Police report, two people were contacted inside the room. Officers discovered that the two individuals were married, but had been separated for some time, and that they had been arguing in the room. Police say an order of protection had been issued in Caldwell County with a no contact clause for both the woman and a child. 35-year-old Terry James Roark of Eldon, Missouri was arrested for violation of the terms of an ex parte and placed on a 24 hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.


On January 19, Pettis County Deputies took a report of burglary in the 10500 block of Pitman Road in La Monte. The Sheriff's Office says that several firearms were taken from a residence. There are no suspects at this time.
