The following is a list of Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's Department reports for the afternoon of Friday, August 7th, 2015.

Sedalia Police responded to the area of West 12th and South Ohio Avenue to a investigate a case of suspicious activity. The complaintent stated she heard a car alarm sounding around 3 this morning (August 7). When she investigated, she noticed two male subjects running away from a 2000 Gold Chrysler Sebring. Upon investigation, Sedalia Police determined that the vehicle and license plates to be stolen.

On Thursday morning (Aug. 6)  around 11, officers were dispatched to the area of West 16th and South Park. The victim reported that her phone had been stolen.

Also, on Thursday afternoon, around 12:00, a Sedalia Police officer was flagged down in the area of East 17th and South Engineer. The individual reported that a man was sleeping in a nearby car. He had been there for several hours and the reporting party stated that he was concerned for the man's well-being. Officers made contact with the sleeping individual. Police reports state that the subject appeared to be under the influence of stimulants. The responding officer asked for consent to search the vehicle but the subject refused, stating it was not his car. The officer phoned the owner of the vehicle and was granted permission to conduct a search. Upon investigation,  was found and the unnamed suspect was taken into custody at the Pettis County jail on a 24-hour hold.

The Pettis County Sheriff's Department took a report of a stolen license plate taken in the 2400 block of Oak Grove Lane. There are no known suspects at this time and the investigation continues....
