A traffic stop Monday night nets man driving while suspended driver

At 10:47 Monday night, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle for not having a functioning brake light at 16th and Kentucky. A check through dispatch revealed the driver, 29-year-old Emmanuel Rivera of Sedalia, was revoked. At the time of the police report, Rivera was in the Pettis County jail pending a bond of $642.50.

Victim calls police then refuses to cooperate or prosecute suspects

Around 1:15 this morning, Sedalia police were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of Sue Lane in reference to two suspects breaking into vehicles in the area.  Following what was described as an intensive search, officers located the suspects hiding beside a residence in the 1000 block of State Fair Blvd. The police report states the victim refused to cooperate or prosecute the suspects. One of the subjects was released. The second suspect, identified as 21-year-old Donald Ray Lutjen Jr., was found to have a Benton County warrant. He was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $500 cash only bond.

Sedalia man arrested on traffic related charges

Just after 8:00 Monday night, Sedalia police and the Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated a vehicle in the 1700 block of West 3rd that had sustained heavy damage to the front end and was found to have left the scene of an accident. The driver, 61-year-old Visitacion Ubaldo of Sedalia, was arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and taken to the Pettis County Jail. Ubaldo was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

Two male juveniles report attempts to harm them physically by an adult

Last Thursday afternoon, the Sedalia Police Department received a referral from the Children’s Division in reference to two male juveniles. According to the police report, an adult known to the juveniles has tried to harm them with physical violence. An investigation is currently underway.

Stover man with an active warrant is arrested at the police station

Sedalia police conducted a warrant check on a subject who walked into the police station just before 9:00 Monday morning. Following confirmation of a failure to appear warrant out of Sedalia, 23-year-old Rhea Boyd of Stover was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $150 cash only bond.

Pettis County Deputies investigate a theft complaint near Covered Bridge Road

At 3:46 Friday afternoon, Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies took a theft complaint in the area of Covered Bridge Road and South Kentucky. According to the victim, someone stole a 5-horse GE electric motor and 100 feet of 3-strand heavy gauge wire from his property. There was no value placed on the stolen property and an investigation is ongoing.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies arrest a 24-year-old man failure to appear warrant

Just after 1:00 this morning, Sedalia police arrested 24-year-old Jose Alonzo Jiminez-Ojeda on a Failure to appear warrant on a charge of expired plates.
