49-year-old rural Pettis county man arrested for sexual abuse of a juvenile female

On Tuesday, Pettis County Deputies conducted an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse of a female juvenile by a subject known to her. Following the investigation, 49-year-old Ricky R. Baker of rural Pettis County was charged with forcible rape, a felony, statutory sodomy 2nd degree, statutory sodomy 1st degree and 2 charges of child molestation class B felony. Bond was set at $300,000.

 

Sedalia woman issued a summons for open burning violation

Just after 11 o’clock Tuesday, night Pettis County Deputies were dispatched to the scene of a fire in the 24,000 block of Highway “O” in Pettis County. Following an investigation, Ronald Lee and Vickie Lynn Lewis of Sedalia were issued summons for knowingly openly burning in violation of the current burn ban.

 

Ionia woman arrested at the police station on active warrants

At 12:30 Wednesday afternoon, 29-year-old Tiffany Saldana of Ionia came to the police station to find out what charges her husband had been arrested. The police report states a check on Saldana revealed she had two warrants herself. Saldana was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending a total of $338.50 bond on the warrants.

 

Traffic stop results in arrest for a 37-year-old motorcycle rider

At 5:11 Wednesday evening, Sedalia police stopped a motorcycle at Broadway and Osage for no license plate. A subsequent check on the rider, 37-year-old Alvie Sutton of Sedali,a revealed he was a revoked driver. At the time of the police report, Sutton was on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County jail pending formal charges.

 

Improper registration results in arrest for a Lamont man

Around 2 o’clock this morning, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at 11th and Grand for improper registration. A check on the driver, 42-year-old Jerry Raps of Lamont, revealed he was a suspended driver. Raps was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending $531.50 bond on a charge of driving while suspended.

 

Tuesday morning, Pettis County Deputies checked on an abandoned motorcycle in the 2800 block of South Ingram. The motorcycle was found to be stolen out of Benton County. The motorcycle was recovered and held pending further investigation. There were no suspects at the time of the Sheriff’s report.

Early Wednesday morning, 51-year-old Billy Dean Casto of Sedalia was arrested on a municipal failure to appear warrant. Bond was set at $125 cash only.

At 10:28 Wednesday night, Sedalia police arrested 22-year-old Marcus Iman of Sedalia on a municipal failure to appear warrant. Bond on the charge is $50 cash only.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 27-year-old Nick Lombardi of Sedalia Wednesday afternoon on a Pettis County warrant for failure to appear on a stealing charge.

A victim in the 18,000 block of Knight Road in the Hughesville area reported the theft of tires and wheels from his pickup Wednesday evening. An investigation continues in the case according to the Sheriff’s report.

A Smithton man reported someone damaged his vehicle sometime overnight Tuesday. There are no suspects.

A woman in the 33,000 block of Dilthey Road in the Nelson area reported her vehicle was damaged while it was parked at her home. There was no information on possible suspects.
