Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff’s Crime Reports for February 27, 2017

A fight in the 700 block of E. 5th St. early Saturday morning led to the arrest of a Sedalia man who is accused of pulling a knife on several people. Sedalia Police say that the suspect, 40-year-old James E. Stark, was found complaining of what he believed to be a broken nose. Witnesses told police that Stark had come to the residence looking for a fight, and when they tried to calm him down he pulled a knife. After the knife was dropped, Stark allegedly started swinging at the residents, and was punched by one of them. Stark was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment, and was then taken to the Pettis County Jail.

A Sedalia man was arrested on Sunday afternoon for shoplifting. Police were called to Kohl’s just after 1 p.m. took a report of a man that stole three Xbox games. A description of the suspect’s vehicle was given to officers, and the vehicle was stopped. 32-year-old Bradley J. Bottcher was arrested for stealing and taken to the Pettis County Jail. Police say Bottcher admitted to stealing the items.

A Sedalia man was arrested on multiple charges after a traffic stop at W. Broadway and Industrial Dr. on Saturday night. Sedalia Police say a passenger in the vehicle provided false ID, and was arrested for identity theft. That same suspect, 28-year-old Korey Reese Isenberg, was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine and on a Benton County warrant. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail.

Sedalia Police arrested a 19-year-old Knob Noster woman for shoplifting at Kohl’s. Police were called to the store just before 3 p.m. on Saturday. The Loss Prevention Officer at the store had apprehended the suspect, who was reportedly found with over $100 worth of clothing concealed on her person. Police released Ashley E. Adams with a municipal summons to appear in court for stealing. She was also issued a trespassing warning from the store.

Sedalia Police were called Friday night to the 1000 block of E. 9th Street where a woman claimed she’d been assaulted by her husband. Police report finding injuries to the woman’s hand. 32-year-old old Brandon A. Carlock was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.

On February 26, Pettis County deputies arrested Stephen Bartlett in the 36000 block of Bail Rd. on charges of second degree domestic assault.

On February 27, Pettis County deputies arrested Barton E. Gibson of Sedalia on a Johnson County warrant. Bond was set at $150 cash only.
