A Sedalia woman was arrested around 8:30 last night after a traffic stop at South Prospect Avenue and West 18th Street. Stephanie Danielle Curry was arrested on a failure to appear warrant, and police say she was in possession of marijuana. Curry was taken to the Pettis County Jail and was issued a municipal summons for possession of marijuana.

Police were called Monday morning to West 18th Street and South Stewart Avenue to investigate a hit and run. A vehicle had been struck while parked on W. 18th Street sometime between 9 pm on Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday. Police say there are no suspects at this time.

Sedalia Police took a report of fraudulent use of a credit card yesterday afternoon. A man told police that over $1,000 had been charged to his card at locations in Cape Girardeau. Sedalia Police sent the information to the Cape Girardeau Police Department for further investigation.

On January 30, Pettis County Deputies arrested Ahmad Jamal Dupree of Sedalia in the area of 7th and New York for displaying the plates of another vehicle, and driving with a suspended license. Ahmad was released at the scene with a summons to court.
