24-year-old Sedalia woman arrested during a disturbance investigation Saturday

Just after 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Sedalia police investigated a disturbance at a residence in the 1500 block of South Kentucky. Upon arrival officers met with the mother of a woman who reported her daughter was highly intoxicated by something she suspected to be methamphetamine and she feared for her well being. The police report states a subject who works with the suspect at a local business told the officers he had taken a bottle of suspected methamphetamine from the woman at work and hid it there. The methamphetamine was recovered by thye police and placed into evidence. The police report states the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Lila Weaver of Sedalia, was arrested when she came to the station to report her methamphetamine was stolen. Weaver was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was placed on 24-hour hold, pending charges of possession with the intent to distribute.

 

Two women arrested  following a burglary investigation

On Friday, deputies from the Pettis County Sheriff's Department arrested two Sedalia women on burglary charges with the assistance of the Sedalia Police Department. A press release from the Pettis County Sheriff's Office states the arrests follow an investigation of a burglary at a vacant home in the 27000 block Of Highway "U" in Pettis County, owned by Frank Hayes. The press release also states a large amount of stolen property was recovered. The two suspects were identified as 24-year-old Christina Forsee and 25-year-old Audrey Dawson. Both women were being held in the Pettis County Jail on $5000 bond at the time of the press release that also states an investigation is still ongoing and more arrests are pending.

 

Two central air conditioners and a hot water heater reported stolen Friday

At 4:17 Friday afternoon, Sedalia police took a theft report from RAC-JAC Properties, that thieves had taken two central air condition units and a hot water heater from properties belonging to Richland Properties of Cole Camp. According to the police report the properties were located in the 1800 block of South Barrett, and the 200 block of South Missouri. The value of the stolen property is set at $7500, and there is a suspect in the case.

 

Police arrest a Sedalia man on warrants Saturday night

Around 7 o'clock Saturday night, Sedalia police conducted a subject check at 17th and Montgomery. A computer check on the suspect, 32-year-old Frederick Curry of Sedalia, revealed he had a Benton County warrant for failure to appear and a parole violation warrant out of Jefferson City. At the time of the police report, Curry was in the Pettis County Jail.
