The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's reports are from the morning of Friday, August 2, 2013.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that she brought her puppy to the dog park at Cloverdell Park yesterday morning (August 1). When she got to the park, there was a Hispanic man with a German Shepard. The woman asked if it was okay to bring her puppy in. The man explained the dog was adopted as a stray and it should be okay. Once the puppy got past the fence, the German Shepard got away from the owner and attacked the puppy, tearing his ear badly. The man left in a black Ford Explorer. The puppy was scheduled to have surgery to help fix the ear.

A man in the 100 Block of North Broadway Boulevard in Houstonia reported to Pettis County Deputies that he was bit by a dog yesterday (Aug. 1).

A man in the 300 Block of East 2nd reported to Sedalia Police that $3,000 in cash and a small dog was stolen from his home between July 22 and 31.

A man from Lincoln reported to Sedalia Police that his vehicle was stolen in the 1700 Block of South Summit around 10 p.m. on July 31. The man later discovered the vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run accident and was stolen and parked back on the roadway.

A man in the 400 Block of East 6th reported to Sedalia Police that someone cut wiring from the basement between July 27 and 31.

Wood's Express reported to Sedalia Police that there was a $18.99 gas drive off on July 5.

Casey's at 3500 West 16th reported to Sedalia Police that there was a $10.01 gas drive off on Aug. 1.

Sedalia Police arrested Bennie Hunter for a probation violation, bond set at $2,500 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Juan Ponce for driving while revoked.
