The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's reports are from the morning of Monday, August 5, 2013.

On Saturday morning (Aug. 3), Sedalia Police went to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office after a woman found a three-year-old girl wandering in the 400 Block of East 3rd. The girl was brought to the Sheriff's Office. Sedalia Police and Pettis County Deputies searched for the parents and they were located an hour later. The child was turned over to the parent and a child investigation hotline was made in reference to the incident.

On Saturday, Sedalia Police went to the 1200 Block of South Arlington on an animal complaint. A pit bull had entered a car when it was being loaded and the dog would not get out. There was also a male dog running loose in the neighborhood. Sedalia Police arrived and placed the first dog into the patrol car, but the other dog ran off into a contained yard. The dog made several aggressive moves towards the officers and others until the owner returned. Ricard Comacho was arrested and charged with two counts of animals running at large, no rabies vaccination, no city tags and one count of a vicious animal. Comacho's bond was set at $887.50.

Koppers Company at 209 North Engineer reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke into their building and stole a $300 Dell Laptop, a Craftsman socket set, valued at $30; Stihl gas weed eater, valued at $200; Combination Craftsman wrench set, valued at $30; and a ½ inch Craftsman socket set, valued at $80.

A man in the 500 Block of East 5th reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke into his garage and stole $500 in fishing equipment, $100 in tackle boxes, a Black & Decker electric drill and $400 in tools, between 3 p.m. on Aug. 3 and 9:50 a.m. on Aug. 4.

A man in the 18000 Block of Highway 127 in Lamonte reported to Pettis County Deputies that some items were stolen from his residence between Aug. 1 and 4.

A man in the 900 Block of Boonville Road reported to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office that an antique sword had been stolen from his residence between 10 a.m. on Aug. 3 and 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 4. There is a known suspect in the case and the investigation is continuing.

A woman in the 1500 Block of West Main reported to Sedalia Police that her phone was stolen, sometime since July 2.

WK Chevrolet reported to Sedalia Police that items were stolen from a vehicle, while it was parked on their lot, awaiting service on either Aug. 1 or 2.

Sedalia Police arrested Shadale Newbill for two probation warrants, bond set at $4,000 cash and $5,000 surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Rebecca Palacios for having a Pettis County warrant, bond set at $2,500 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Christopher Erfurth for failure to appear for driving while revoked, bond set at $2,500 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Tiffany Howe for stealing and two failure to appear charges, bond set at $1,500 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Jose Alarlon for driving while revoked and no operator's license.
