Sedalia Police Arrest Suspect in Child Molestation Investigation

Yesterday (Dec. 19), Sedalia Police responded to the 1100 Block of East 7th to assist other officers in looking for a suspect in an ongoing child molestation investigation. The suspect, Xavier Daniels, was found later and placed on a 24-hour hold pending state charges of statutory sodomy in the 1st degree.

A Scam and Several Thefts Occur In Area

A man in the 37000 Block of West 10th reported to Sedalia Police that he sent $7,950 to subjects to get a large sum of money in return, but never received any money.

Pettis County Deputies received a report from a victim in the 10000 Block of Wanaker Road that a battery charger was stolen yesterday (Dec. 19).

A man in the 1500 Block of Crestview Drive reported to Pettis County Deputies that several items were stolen from his home on Dec. 18.

A woman in the 3900 Block of Chapel Drive reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone stole items from her yard on Dec. 18.

The Missouri Department of Transportation reported to Pettis County Deputies that a mobile message board on Highway 127 and Highway Y had been damaged sometime between Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 5 p.m. and 10 a.m. on Dec. 19.

A woman in the 1400 Block of East Broadway reported to Sedalia Police that her daughter's window was broken.

A woman in the 2400 Block of West Main reported to Sedalia Police that her Mitsubishi Montero was damaged, while parked at her home on Wednesday (Dec. 18).

Several Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Jonathan Hibbs for driving while revoked, bond set at $5,000 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Nicole Dotson for stealing from Walmart, bond set at $535.50.

Sedalia Police arrested Mark Pate for failure to appear, bond set at $88.50 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Kimberly Morrison for stealing a package from a porch.
