The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff’s crime reports are from the morning of Thursday, Dec.5, 2013.
Law Enforcement Investigate Several Cases of Sexual Abuse and an Assault
Pettis County Deputies received a report of an 8-year-old girl that was a victim of sexual abuse by a male she knew. The incident reportedly took place in the Hughesville area and is under investigation by the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office.
Pettis County Deputies received a report that a 14-year-old girl was sexually abused by a man she knew several years ago. The incident is currently under investigation by the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office.
Sedalia Police are investigating a report of child molestation that reportedly happened in the 1500 Block of South Vermont. In addition, they took the original information given from a victim in Sedalia that there was also a child molestation incident in Benton County. Benton County Officials will investigate that part of the case.
Sedalia Police received a report of an assault that occurred in the 100 Block of South Harding.
Several Thefts Reported
A woman in the 100 Block of West 10th reported to Sedalia Police that someone removed heaters and wiring from the home, causing $500 in damages.
Sedalia Police received a report from a victim that someone stole two outside air condition units in the 2500 Block of East Broadway.
A man in the 100 Block of West 20th reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke into his home and stole some time yesterday (Dec. 4).
A man from Green Ridge reported to Pettis County Deputies that his identity was stolen and an account opened without his knowledge or permission sometime between July 23 and Nov. 1, 2007. The incident is currently under investigation by the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office.
Several Arrests Made
Sedalia Police arrested Ashley Lassiter for a Henry County warrant, bond set at $1,000.
Sedalia Police arrested Crystal Millard for having a Pettis County warrant, bond set at $216.50.
Sedalia Police arrested Nikki Bale for having a municipal warrant, bond set at $88.50 cash.
Sedalia Police arrested Jonathan Hibbs for driving while revoked.
