The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's Department crime reports are from the morning of Friday, August 7, 2015.
There was a two vehicle accident near Prospect and West 18th, yesterday morning at 8:44 (August 6). Darlene Burton was northbound on Prospect from 20th, left the roadway and collided with a tree. The tree fell on a parked car, owned by Dionicia Marcos. Burton continued northbound through yards, struck several shrubs and a large barrel in front of a yard and collided with a patio table. Burton believes she had a medical episode that caused the accident and a witness that saw it believes the same. Burton's vehicle had extensive damage and the parked car had moderate damage.
Sedalia Police responded to a hit & run accident at West 16th and Devin Avenue last night at 6:46 (August 6). A woman reported she was involved in an accident and the other driver left without exchanging insurance information.
Pettis County Deputies received a report of identity theft and they are investigating the matter.
A woman reported to Sedalia Police someone scratched the driver side door of her minivan, causing $200 in damages, while she was in Walmart.
A man in the area of East 13th and South Marvin reported to Sedalia Police someone stole a 2013 red Sunfire Scooter from his driveway on August 6, between 8 a.m. and 5:49 p.m.
Sedalia Police arrested Bennie Fisher for failure to appear-misdemeanor, bond set at $5,000 cash/surety.
Sedalia Police arrested Gary Jeffress for failure to appear-misdemeanor, bond set at $118.50 cash.
Sedalia Police arrested Megan Simpson for failure to appear-misdemeanor, bond set at $100.
Sedalia Police arrested Kristi Evans and Samuel Morris for a drug violation for possession of synthetic narcotics (K2).
Sedalia Police arrested Kimberly Hopkins and Christopher Brown for a parole violation.
