An Accident Leads to a Short Police Chase

Yesterday (Nov. 28), Sedalia Police were informed that a vehicle had crashed at North Grand and West Main and the occupants fled on foot. Two of the occupants were found a few blocks away and said the driver kept running to the north. Sedalia Police found the driver, Shane Hines, and he was arrested for driving while intoxicated, left the scene of the accident and 2nd degree assault.

Sedalia Police Investigate Report of Harassment

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that her daughter was followed by a while male near South Engineer and East 7th. The unknown suspect never touched the daughter and only asked if she was supposed to be in school.

Two Thefts Reported In Area

A man in the 26000 Block of Goodwill Chapel Road reported to Pettis County Deputies that his 2008 scooter was stolen on Nov. 27.

A victim in the 300 Block of West Broadway reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole a bag of candy, valued at $1.19, on Nov. 27.

Sedalia Police Make Several Arrests

Sedalia Police arrested Cody Hendrick for driving while suspended, bond set at $533.50 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Sharde Smith for failure to appear, bond set at $141.50.

Sedalia Police arrested John Rickerson, Kevin Carter and Salvador Chavez for driving while suspended.
