The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's crime reports are from the morning of Monday, Jan. 27, 2014.

Sedalia Police Investigate a Stabbing

Yesterday morning (Jan. 26), Sedalia Police responded to 711 South Lafayette for an assault report. A man reported to Sedalia Police that he was struck by a stick upon the head and another man was stabbed. The man who had been stabbed was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center and flown to University Hospital in Columbia.

Several Thefts Reported

Employees of RCL wiring at 601 South Marshall reported to Sedalia Police that somebody cut through a chain link fence and stole copper wire.

A woman in the 200 Block of East 6th reported to Sedalia Police that somebody broke into her home between Jan, 5 and Jan. 26 and stole several items.

A man in the 900 Block of Normandy reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke into his Outback travel trailer and stole a 13-inch television and receiver hitch.

A man in the 600 Block of South Barrett reported to Sedalia Police that his former tenant stole household goods from a fully furnished home.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that she left her $400 iPhone in the bathroom of Broadway Presbyterian Church at 209 West Broadway. The woman discovered it was missing, went back and could not find the phone.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole her license plate tab.

A woman in the 3300 Block of South Park reported to Sedalia Police that someone damaged a mailbox and post valued at $200 on Jan. 26.

Several Arrests Made Over the Weekend

Pettis County Deputies arrested 24-year-old Jameson Smith on a vehicle stop for driving while suspended. Pettis County Deputies found Smith had an active no bond probation and parole warrant, Pettis County warrant and a Benton County warrant. Smith was placed on 24-hour hold for driving while suspended.

Sedalia Police arrested Chelsea Corona and Hannah Grupe for stealing from Walmart.

Sedalia Police arrested Teri Hensley for failure to obey and resisting arrest.

Sedalia Police arrested April Lange for assault.

Sedalia Police arrested Amanda Pfannestial for driving while suspended.
