The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's crime reports are from the morning of Friday, Jan. 3, 2013.

Two Thefts Investigated

A man in the 3000 Block of Clinton Road reported to Sedalia Police that a package was delivered to the wrong business. When the intended person came to retrieve the package, $500 in items were missing from the package.

A man in the 22000 Block of Highway T in Lamonte reported to Pettis County Deputies that somebody stole something from him yesterday (Jan. 2).

Six People Arrested in Drug Related Traffic Stop

Yesterday (Jan. 2), Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a white Chevy truck for not displaying license plates. Two of the occupants had active warrants and Sedalia Police gained permission to search the vehicle from the driver. Sedalia Police found two different containers filled with a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Sedalia Police arrested Michael Ritcheson and Kimberly Morrison for drug violation possession of marijuana misdemeanor and possession of drug paraphernalia; Stephen Lappat was arrested for failure to appear, possession of imitation controlled drug and possession of drug paraphernalia; Brande Smith was arrested for having a warrant, drug violation (possession of marijuana, misdemeanor) and possession of drug paraphernalia; Heather Miller for possession of imitation controlled drug and drug paraphernalia; and Michael Durham for drug violation for possession of marijuana (misdemeanor) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sedalia Police Make Three Arrests

Sedalia Police arrested Billy Brown for domestic assault in the 2nd degree and violation of an order of protection, bond set at $50,000 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Jesse Jones for a probation warrant out of Jefferson City.

Sedalia Police arrested Andre Ward for driving while revoked.
