Sedalia Police Receive Report of Someone Impersonating An Officer

Yesterday (Jan. 7), Sedalia Police received a report from Rest Haven at 1800 South Ingram that there was someone impersonating a police officer there. The complainant said the man called numerous times claiming to be a police officer. The suspect provided a badge number and an incorrect phone number for the police department and requested info about an employee.

Sedalia Police Investigate Gas Theft

Employees at Mertens at 2600 East Broadway reported to Sedalia Police that there was a $10.12 gas drive off.

Pettis County Deputies Investigate Property Damage

A woman in the 4200 Block of West Main St. in Sunset Village Trailer Park reported to Pettis County Deputies someone damaged property on Jan. 7.

Sedalia Police investigated an assault in the 400 Block of Welch Court.

Several Thefts Reported

Sedalia Police arrested Laurie Wright for failure to appear, bond set at $566.50 cash only.

Sedalia Police arrested Charles Durham for a probation and parole violation and driving while suspended, bond set at $500 cash only.

Sedalia Police arrested Sherwin Marshall for driving while suspended.

Sedalia Police took possession of a black backpack with items in it and was found in the area of 4th and Osage.
