The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's crime reports are from the morning of Friday, July 12, 2013.

Several Cases of Property Damage and Theft Reported

Sedalia Police received reports of 12 vehicles that had some type of liquid, possibly hand lotion or baby oil, on their vehicles. Some of the vehicles had notes attached to them. The vehicles were lined on both sides of 9th Street and stretched from Thompson Avenue to Engineer.

A woman in the 2500 Block of South Briston Lane reported to Sedalia Police that someone splattered blue paint on her car between 8 p.m on July 8 and 1:30 p.m. on July 9, causing $200 in damages.

A man in the 300 Block of South Hancock reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole $2635 in items from the home between 10:30 a.m. and 1:23 p.m. on July 11.

A woman in the 1600 Block of West 5th reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole her push mower valued at $150 from her backyard on July 11.

A woman in the 1800 Block of South Washington reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole items from her home while on vacation between July 3 and 10.

Coke Distributing in the 1500 Block of East 16th reported to Sedalia Police that someone entered one of the buildings and damaged some property between 5 p.m. on July 8 and 10 a.m. on July 10.

An employee of Grace Baptist Church reported to Pettis County Deputies that somebody stole a license plate or it was lost between July 7 and 11.

Pettis County Deputies Investigate an Accident

Pettis County Deputies responded to an investigated a report of a vehicle accident on Quisenberry Road near Burton Road yesterday morning (July 11).

Sedalia Police Arrest Two

Sedalia Police arrested Melisa Dotson for failure to appear and forgery, bond set at $25,000.

Sedalia Police arrested Thomas Bentley for a Pettis County failure to appear, bond set at $91.50 cash only.
