The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's reports are from the morning of Thursday, July 25, 2013.

Sedalia Police Check on a Lost Child

Early this morning, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 800 Block of West 7th in reference to a young child who was sleeping in a vehicle and apparently lost. Sedalia Police made contact with the child and the parents were located in the home. The child was released to the parents and the child abuse hotline was contacted.

Sedalia Police Investigate Several Thefts

A man in the 3700 Block of West 10th reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole his wife's purse and went through the glove compartment of his truck on July 24.

A man in the 500 Block of East 5th reported to Sedalia Police that the license plates were stolen off his vehicle on July 23 or 24.

A woman from Sweet Springs reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone was trespassing on her property in the 12000 Block of Dunksburg Road on July 24.

Sedalia Police Hold Two Found Items

Yesterday, a subject came into the lobby of the Sedalia Police Department and brought a plastic container full of costume jewelry found at Clover Dell Park near the lake.

A 24" Sting Ray bike with severe rust and damage to the seat was found in the 3700 Block of West 10th.

Several Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Angela Teeter for having a Pettis County warrant, bond set at $5,000 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Nastacia Poindexter for being possession of drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance.

Sedalia Police arrested Kimberly Stout for a parole and probation warrant.
