Pettis County Deputies Investigate a Fire

The Pettis County Sheriff's Office and Pettis County Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 26515 Goodwill Chapel Road. The Sheriff's Department learned that the property from the trailer had been stolen prior to the fire and the investigation continues.

Several Thefts Reported to Sedalia Police

A man in the 500 Block of South Barrett reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole a Stihl gas-powered weed eater valued at $420 from the back of his truck.

A man in the 500 Block of West 11th reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole an Xbox, Xbox games and movies, valued at $285, from his home between 8 p.m on July 4 and 10:30 a.m. on July 5.

A man in the 2200 Block of West 1st Street Terrace reported to Sedalia Police that his Yardman 20" 3.75 Horsepower lawnmower valued at $150 was stolen from in front of his garage between 8:30 p.m. on July 4 and 10 a.m. on July 5.

A woman in the 600 Block of East 17th reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole her license plates from her vehicle between 9 p.m. on July 4 and 4:30 p.m. on July 5.

Pettis County Deputies Investigate a Rash of Thefts From Cars

A man in the 3600 Block of South Kentucky reported to the Pettis County Deputies that someone broke the window from hid truck and stole the in-dash stereo yesterday (July 7).

A man in the 1500 Block of 40th Street Terrace reported to Pettis County Deputies that his locked car was entered and the stereo was stolen on Saturday (July 6).

A man in the 1500 Block of Hunters Circle reported to Pettis County Deputies that his Jeep was broken into and the control panel from the stereo was stolen on Saturday (July 6).

A man in the 3900 Block of Chapel Drive reported to Pettis County Deputies that his vehicle was broken into and the stereo was stolen on either July 5 or 6.

Pettis County Deputies received a report that two vehicles were broken into in the 1900 Block of West Timber Ridge on July 6.

One Theft From a Business Reported

Casey's at 1901 West Main reported a $50 gas drive off on July 6.

Law Enforcement Investigate Two Assaults

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that she was assaulted in the 300 Block of McAnally Court on July 6.

Pettis County Deputies received a report of a domestic assault that occurred in the 3500 Block of South Grand Avenue.

Several Arrests Made Over Weekend

Sedalia Police arrested Richard Batzel for having a Pettis County warrant, bond set at $25,000 and a Municipal warrant, bond set at $88.50 cash.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Rachel Campbell for a warrant, bond set at $3,500 cash or surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Brandon Harrison for failure to appear for having expired plates and no insurance, bond set at $300 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Michael Harrell for failure to appear out of Chariton County for no insurance, bond set at $200 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Matilda Estarate for failure to appear for no operator's license and no insurance, bond set at $55 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Mathew Dawson for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.

Pettis County Deputies arrested 34-year-old Mark A. Pringle for driving while intoxicated.

Sedalia Police arrested Erica Patterson for driving while revoked.

Pettis County Deputies arrested 25-year-old Elizabeth Brown on an outstanding Pettis County warrant.

A set of keys were found in the parking lot of Hair Etc. in the 500 Block of West 16th between 3 p.m. On July 3 and 4:48 p.m. on July 5.
