Sedalia Police Working With Coroner On Investigation of Death of an Infant

Yesterday afternoon,, the Sedalia Police Department received a 911 medical transfer from the Pettis County Sheriff's Department about a deceased 8-month-old child at a residence in the 300 Block of North Depp. The child was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by APSI Ambulance. Sedalia Police responded to the residence and Bothwell Regional Health Center Emergency Room to investigate the incident. The Sedalia Police Investigative Division will be working with the Pettis County Coroner to complete an investigation.  There is no evidence of foul play at this time.

Several Thefts Reported

A man reported to Sedalia Police that his 1997 Plymouth van was stolen while at a transmission shop in the 3600 Block of South Limit between June 12 and 17.

American Auto Rental at 2101 South Limit reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole a battery and windshield wiper out of a 2000 Ford Expedition between June 13 and 17.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that her debit card and $50 was stolen from her wallet in the 2900 Block of West Broadway on June 18.

A woman in the 32000 Block of Lamine Road reported to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office that a misdirected UPS package was stolen.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that she received some disturbing and alarming text messages from an unknown party on June 17.

Two Arrests Made by Sedalia Police

Last night, witnesses called in a complaint of a careless and imprudent driver coming into the western city limits driving eastbound. The suspect was involved in an accident at West Broadway and South Thompson. Sedalia Police arrested 50-year-old Susan Johnson for driving while intoxicated and a city charge of having an open container.

Sedalia Police arrested Audrey Burton for failure to appear, bond set at $100.
