The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff’s reports are from the morning of Tuesday, June 25, 2013.

Sedalia Police and Missouri State Highway Patrol Investigate a Possible Bomb

Yesterday, Sedalia Police went to the 1700 Block of South Moniteau in reference to a possible pipe bomb. The area was contained and the Missouri State Highway Patrol bomb squad was called in. The area was contained, the Bomb Squad deemed the device safe and was placed into evidence as found property.

Sedalia Police Make Two Arrests For Resisting Arrest and Leaving Scene of Accident

Yesterday afternoon, Sedalia Police went to the area of 4th and Quincy to investigate a report of a fight. The suspects ran on foot when they saw Sedalia Police. One suspect was caught and arrested. Crystal Millard was arrested for resisting arrest and bond was set at $533.50.

Sedalia Police went to the 2900 Block of West Broadway on June 21 in reference to a hit-and-run accident. A vehicle struck a truck that belonged to Little Caesars and caused minor damage. The suspect fled the scene. Jaden Stout was later arrested for leaving the scene of an accident and bond was set at $533.50.

Several Thefts Reported

A woman in the 2100 Block of Stonewood Circle reported to Pettis County Deputies that an iPad valued at $399.99 was lost or stolen on June 24.

A woman in the 1300 Block of East 6th reported to Sedalia Police that a computer was missing.

Pettis County Deputies received a report from the 10000 Block of Harms Road in Windsor that two horse saddles were stolen between June 18 and 20.

A woman in the 1700 Block of West Broadway reported to Sedalia Police the theft of her WIC book and vouchers from her vehicle on June 12 between 2 and 4 p.m.

Sedalia Police investigated a possible burglary in the 1500 Block of East 7th between June 22 and 24.

A man in the 1500 Block of East 6th reported to Sedalia Police that someone put sugar all around his gas cap between June 21 and 24.

Al’s Portable Welding at 215 East Main reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole two 5/16 inch couplers from a trailer between noon on June 23 and 7:43 a.m. on June 24.

Benitz Service Company reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke into two company vehicles and stole some tools between 3 p.m. on June 23 and 7:43 a.m. on June 24.

Casey’s at 716 West 16th reported to Sedalia Police there was a $55.24 gas drive off that occurred at 9:30 p.m. on June 23.

An AT&T Blackberry was found in the 2600 Block of North Woodlawn between June 20 and 24 and it was turned into Sedalia Police.

Two Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Jeremiah Jones for a probation violation, bond set at $2,000 cash and $2,500 surety.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Jonathan Pruett for an outstanding warrant.
