The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's Crime reports are from the morning of Monday, March 10, 2014.

Sedalia Fire & Sedalia Police Departments Investigate Vehicle Fire

The Sedalia Fire Department and Sedalia Police Department responded to a fire that destroyed a camper-trailer at 220 East Walnut at 6:50 a.m. on March 9. The Sedalia Fire Department believes the fire was suspicious.

 

Several Thefts Reported

A man in the 1100 Block of South Vermont reported to Sedalia Police that on March 8, someone stole a Nintendo DS, Playstation 4 and 22 XBox 360 games from his home.

The Pettis County Sheriff's Department received a report that a company truck was stolen from property in the 22000 Block of Yeater Road between Feb. 28 and March 4.

A man in the 3600 Block of South Kentucky reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone damaged and painted his 2004 Nissan, causing several thousands of dollars in damages on either March 6 or 7.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that his stereo was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in the Bothwell Regional Health Center parking lot between 3:30 and 11:40 p.m. on March 8.

Pettis County Deputies received a report from the Northwest High School that someone stole a mini computer tablet valued at $260 on March 4.

A man in the 100 Block of West 3rd reported to Sedalia Police that a cell phone valued at $200 was stolen on March 9.

A man in the 1100 Block of South Park reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole a railroad switch stand valued at $500 from his yard on March 7.

Pettis County Deputies received a report that someone broke into a home in the 500 Block of West 2nd Street in Houstonia and stole a few items between March 1 and 7.

Employees of Casey's at 3050 South Limit reported a $31 gas drive off on March 8.

 

Several Arrests Made

Boonie Balance was given two city summons for assault by Sedalia Police after a domestic assault investigation.

Pettis County Deputies arrested William Ray Ash Jr. out of Knob Noster for a Smithton traffic warrant.

Sedalia Police arrested Matthew Zentner for driving while suspended and possession of marijuana, bond set at $1,067 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Steven Wideman for driving while suspended, bond set at $533.50.

Sedalia Police arrested David Bowman for stealing from Wood's Supermarket, bond set at $533.50.

Sedalia Police arrested Steven and Crystal Johnson for failure to appear, bond set at $88.50.

Sedalia Police arrested Sebastian Lamport for failure to appear, bond set at $88.50.
