The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's crime reports are from the morning of Monday, August 17, 2015.

Pettis County Deputies took a report of a statutory rape of a juvenile in the 200 Block of Green Street in Smithton on August 10 or 11.

A victim in the 29000 Block of Boonville Road in Sedalia reported to Pettis County Deputies, someone stole $4500 in tools, yesterday (August 16).

A woman reported to Sedalia Police someone stole her cell phone, valued at $699, and $101 in cash while it was on a desk at the Motel 6 on the night of August 15.

A victim in the 1400 Block of Elm Hills Boulevard reported to Pettis County Deputies some lawn ornaments were stolen on Saturday (Aug. 15).

Sedalia Police received a report early yesterday morning (August 16) a taxi driver had a suspect unable to pay the cab fare of $10 and offered instead to pay for the ride with $10 in marijuana.

An employee of Casey's, at 1601 East Broadway, reported to Sedalia Police she saw a person tear down the Casey's fence.

Sedalia Police received a report of a hit and run accident that happened in the Taco Bell parking lot on Saturday morning at 1:34.

Sedalia Police received a report that a woman jumped out of a vehicle, after a verbal argument in the 900 Block of East Broadway. The Pettis County Ambulance District tried to help the woman, but she tried to walk and screamed, the woman was placed into 12-hour protective custody.

Sedalia Police arrested Laura Charland-Early for shopflifting three small items at Walmart, bond set at $533.50.
Pettis County Deputies arrested Randy Gleason Jr. of Sedalia for driving while suspended.
