The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's crime reports are from the morning of Monday, February 16, 2015.

Sedalia Police received a report of a firearm negligently discharged late yesterday afternoon (Feb. 15). A man reported to Sedalia Police that he was cleaning a 9 mm pistol, when it discharged into the ceiling of his apartment. The bullet was believed to have been broken up in the floor. Sedalia Police seized the gun for safekeeping and no charges are being sought at this time.

A man reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone stole property, valued at $120, from one his farm at Gilead Road and Bois De Arc Road in Hughesville.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that there have been some unauthorized payments made from her checking account in the last month.

Pettis County Deputies received a report of a theft that happened in the 21000 Block of Sacajawea Road, between Feb. 7 and 14.

Sedalia Police received a report of a possible burglary in the area of West 10th and South Carr, between 8 and 11 Friday morning (Feb. 13).

The Animal Control Officer was on patrol and noticed a door open in the area of North Missouri and West Cooper. Sedalia Police found that the door was forced open and they tried contacting the owner without success.

A man reported to Pettis County Deputies that he was assaulted in the area of US 50 East and Route O on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 15).

A man in the area of South Sneed and West 20th Street, reported to Sedalia Police that someone egged his vehicle in the overnight of Feb. 14.

Sedalia Police received a report of a hit and run accident last night (Feb. 15), in the area of West Broadway and Winchester Drive. A man reported to Sedalia Police that his vehicle was struck from behind, while stopped at the red light and the other vehicle drove off.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that another vehicle rear ended her vehicle, while she was stopped at Broadway and Emmett.

Sedalia Police arrested Lee Richards for failure to appear-felony, bond set at $50,000 surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Scotty Rice for driving while suspended, license plates required and no proof of insurance, bond set at $533.50.

Sedalia Police arrested Felicia Jacobs for failure to appear-misdemeanor, bond set at $150 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Lacy Sutton for failure to appear, bond set at $150.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Leslie Bartlett for failure to appear on a Pettis County warrant, bond set at $10 cash.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Deante Loftis on an active Pettis County warrant for minor in possession and drug paraphernalia.

Sedalia Police arrested Matias Pacheco for driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

Sedalia Police arrested Bryant Creely for having an expired license and was issued a summons for possession of an alcoholic container while on the city street.

Sedalia Police arrested Dmitry Ovseychuk for failure to appear out of Morgan County.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Alma Cruz-Pena for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Bryce Robejsek on a charge of violation of order of protection and placed on a 24-hour investigative hold pending filing of formal charges.

Sedalia Police arrested Virgil Edgar for driving while suspended.

Sedalia Police arrested Andre Ward for trespassing.
