The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's crime reports are from the morning of Monday, July 21, 2014.

Several Thefts Reported Over The Weekend

Sedalia Police received a call on Saturday night (July 19), that a man was calling for help in the 600 Block of North Grand. Sedalia Police found four subjects in the alley, with one lying on the ground bleeding. One of the men said that the man on the ground, broke into his car and took $150 from the car. One subject reported that the suspect ran and he and a friend caugh the suspect and had to protect themselves. The suspect was treated on the scene by the Pettis County Ambulance District and then Air-Evac transferred the unnamed suspect to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia for his treatments. The incident is under investigation.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole a Playstation 4, XBox One and some from games, valued at $1,000, from a home on July 18.

A man in the 1800 Block of South Summit  in Sedalia, reported to Pettis County Deputies that a Mossberg Shotgun was stolen from his home sometime in March.

A woman in the 24000 Block of Kathy Road, reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone stole her riding lawnmower from her backyard, between July 14 and 18.

A man in the 3400 Block of Sandstone Street in Sedalia, reported to Pettis County Deputies that a smoker was stolen from his home on July 19 or 20.

A woman in the 1500 Block of Crestview Drive reported to Pettis County Deputies that there was a burglary, yesterday (July 20).

A woman in the 3100 Block of Elsie Drive in Sedalia, reported that there was a prowler on her property late at night on July 18.

A woman in the 21000 Block of McCurdy Road reported to Pettis County Deputies that her Discover Card had been fraudulently  used, without her permission, between July 13 and 19.

A man in the 23000 Block of Mather Road, reported to Pettis County Deputies that his identity was stolen, sometime since March of 2009.

A woman in the 400 Block of East 14th reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole $30 in change and a set of Beat headphones from her car on July 18.

A woman in the 1100 Block of East 4th reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole $30 in loose change from her vehicle on July 19.

The loss prevention agent for Walmart, reported to Sedalia Police that a suspect came into the store on two different occasions, took items off the shelves and returned them for cash.

Several Property Damage Reports

A man on the Highway 50 Spur in Smithton, reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone had set fire to one of the trees on his property on July 18.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that someone struck her vehicle and left the area without making contact with the woman on Saturday morning (July 19).

Five Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Robert Smith for two charges of leaving the scene of an accident, bond set at $533.50.

Sedalia Police arrested Rose Nolen for two counts of leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report a motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of Woods Supermarket.

Sedalia Police arrested Douglas Atwood for driving while intoxicated-prior offender, driving while suspended and careless driving.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Mitchel Duncan on an active Sedalia warrant for his arrest as a result of a vehicle stop on July 18.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Nicholas Burnett for having a no-bond probation and parole warrant.

Pettis County Deputies arrested William Balance on a property damage charge.
