Sedalia Police Investigate Reported Rape

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that she was the victim of a sex crime by someone known to her.

Sedalia Police Investigate Animal Abuse Case

A complainant reported to Sedalia Police that a person renting a home in the 1400 Block of South Grand has not been home for awhile and left a dog behind. The dog didn't have food or water and destroyed the house. The dog was taken to the animal shelter for safe keeping by Sedalia Police.

Several Thefts Reported

An employee of Casey's at 1601 East Broadway reported to Sedalia Police that someone pumped $30 in fuel yesterday (June 1) and left without paying.

An employee of Walmart reported to Sedalia Police that someone went through the self checkout and rang up a $49.97 Coleman Air Mattress as a 97 cent koozie cup and left the store.

A man in the 1100 Block of East 11th reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke into his car and stole some change.

A man in the 300 Block of North State Fair, reported to Sedalia Police that someone kicked in his door.

A debit card was found yesterday (June 1) in the area of Ohio and 14th Street. Sedalia Police took possession of the debit card for safe keeping.

Several Arrests Made

Sedalia Police received a report of a man in a yard throwing and breaking things in the 1600 Block of East 4th. Sedalia Police arrested Shannon Wheatley and was charged with making a public peace disturbance, bond set at $283.

Sedalia Police arrested Kaylee Waite for failure to appear, bond set at $88.50.

Pettis County Deputies arrested 30-year-old Ronnie Price Jr. of Sedalia for Pettis County warrants for unlawful use of a weapon and driving while intoxicated.

Sedalia Police arrested Melissa Durham for drug violation for possession of synthetic narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sedalia Police arrested Monty Ellis for possession of marijuana.

Sedalia Police arrested Bryan Combs for driving while suspended.

Pettis County Deputies arrested John Archambault Jr. of Sedalia for outstanding warrants.
