Sedalia Police Receive Report of Man With a Gun

A woman at West 11th and South Missouri, reported to Sedalia Police that a man approached her with a gun, in her garage and requested that she take him to the bank. The caller went into the home and called police. Sedalia Police searched the area, but the subject was not found.

Sedalia Police Investigate Reported Harassment

Sedalia Police received a report of harassment via cell phone, facebook and while the victim was at work.

Several Thefts Reported In Area

A man near West 18th and South Barrett reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole his burgandy 1996 Lincoln Grand Marquis.

A man in the area of South Washington and East 12th reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole a 17-gallon Kobalt air compressor, valued at $250, from his garage.

A woman in the area of East 7th and South Washington reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole money from her.

A woman near Walnut School Road and Smasal Road reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone stole several animals from her property on March 7 or 8. In addition, the same woman reported that someone placed a 5-gallon bucket on her porch and she does not know who the bucket belongs to.

Sedalia Police Investigate Hit & Run Accident

There was a hit and run accident that happened at Westlake's on Saturday evening (March 7). The victim reported to Sedalia Police that another vehicle hit his truck, while it was parked in the parking lot and had minor damage to his vehicle.

A duffle bag was found on March 6 on the roof of the Church of Latter Day Saints and was turned into Sedalia Police.

Eight Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Edward Benn the 5th for having a warrant for neglect of a child out of Benton County, bond set at $5,000 cash/surety.

Sedalia Police arrested Lavasha Stapleton for possession of marijuana.

Sedalia Police arrested Tamara Dryer for stealing a cell phone from a person at Coach's Bar.

Sedalia Police arrested Jakob Killbreth for assault on a law enforcement officer in the 2nd degree and resisting arrest.

Sedalia Police arrested James Kohrs for a probation/parole no bond warrant.

Sedalia Police arrested Jeffery Friedly for a no bond warrant out of Jefferson City for a parole violation.

Sedalia Police arrested Richard Ward for speeding at North Park and West Benton.

Pettis County Deputies arrested William Ash Jr. for active warrants for his arrest.
