Sedalia Police Investigate Two Assaults

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that she was assaulted by someone known to her and was threatened with a knife. She also had two ATM bank cards stolen from her wallet.

Sedalia Police is investigating a reported domestic assault that happened in the 300 Block of Buckner Court.
Several Thefts Reported
A metal boom, valued at $500, was taken off a bobcat excavator, while it was parked at Lone Pine trailer park, between September 30 and October 3.
A woman in the 200 Block of Scott Joplin Court, reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole a Playstation 3 and a controller, between 9:30 pm on Sept. 29 and 8:30 am on Sept. 30.
A woman in the 1300 Block of South Madison reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke into her home, yesterday (Oct. 5).
Two Accidents Investigated
Pettis County Deputies investigated a one vehicle accident on US 65, north of Claycomb Road, around 6:50 yesterday morning (October 5). 43-year-old Joseph Toepke of Columbia, Missouri, was driving a 2009 Toyota and struck an animal in the roadway. Toepke was not injured and the vehicle was towed away from the scene.
A woman reported to Sedalia Police that someone struck her vehicle, while she was inside Heber Hunt Elementary School, during a tornado warning on Oct. 3.
Two Vehicles Towed
Pettis County Deputies removed an abandoned vehicle from property on the 3300 Block of Highway E in Green Ridge on Saturday (October 4).
Pettis County Deputies had a vehicle towed from the patrol parking lot on Friday (Oct. 3).
A handicap sticker was found in the 200 Block of West 2nd.
Several Arrests Made
Sedalia Police arrested Gregory Porter for driving while intoxicated and a warrant, bond set at $2,500 cash/surety.
Pettis County Deputies arrested Justin Phillips during a vehicle stop on Friday (Oct. 3). Phillips was found to have an active Pettis County warrant and during a search of the vehicle, he was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Phillips was taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on 24-hour hold for possession of a controlled substance.
Pettis County Deputies arrested DeMarco Buchanan on Thursday (Oct. 2), during a drug investigation. Buchanan was arrested and placed on 24-hour hold for possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana and minor in possession of alcohol.
Pettis County Deputies arrested Donald Lutjen Jr. on an active Sedalia warrant, bond set at $88.50 cash only.
Sedalia Police arrested Jamie Clark for failure to appear, bond set at $88.50.
Sedalia Police arrested William Hagston for driving while intoxicated.
Sedalia Police arrested Keaton Gray for driving while suspended.
Sedalia Police arrested Ulises Perez-Rojas for leaving the scene of an accident and no operator's license.
Pettis County Deputies made an arrest in the 3200 Block of West 16th on an outstanding warrant on Friday (Oct. 3). The warrant was withdrawn by the court upon arrival at the jail and the subject was released with no further charges pending.
