Sedalia Police Investigates a Sexual Abuse Case

Sedalia Police is investigating a possible sexual abuse situation involving a 7-year-old victim and a 26-year-old male.

Several Gas Drive Offs Reported

Sedalia Police received reports from Casey's General Store at 3050 South Limit that they had two gas drive offs yesterday afternoon in the amount of $41 and $40.

The Cork N Bottle reported to Sedalia Police that there was a $40.06 gas drive off on September 11 at 4:35 p.m. Sedalia Police located the suspect, Gerald Olinger, who admitted he took the gas without the intent to pay. The man later paid the money, but the Cork N Bottle still wanted prosecution and Olinger was arrested for stealing.

Several Thefts Are Being Investigated

Employees of Dollar General at 2402 West Broadway reported to Sedalia Police that a case of soda and case of Gatorade valued at $10 was stolen on Sept. 7.

A woman in the 100 Block of South Stewart reported to Sedalia Police that a license plate was stolen from her vehicle in June.

Pettis County Deputies recovered an abandoned, reported stolen vehicle from the parking lot in the 4800 Block of South Limit.

Yesterday (Sept. 11), Sedalia Police recovered a large knife from the complainant. The knife was found in a bush in the 500 Block of Lafayette by a child. The complainant was concerned that the knife would hurt someone if left out.

Sedalia Police Make Three Arrests

Sedalia Police arrested Crystal Millard for failure to appear for resisting arrest, bond set at $88.50.

Sedalia Police arrested Richard Heston and Hester Williams for stealing beef jerky and cheese from Walmart.
