The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's crime reports are from the morning of Wednesday, June 10, 2015.

The Sedalia Fire Department and Sedalia Police Department responded to a fire in the area of East 10th and South Summit last night (June 9). There were three people standing near the fire. Sedalia Police requested them to move from the area, while the Sedalia Fire Department fought the fire. One of the individuals, 34-year-old Raul Martinez, attempted to run back into the structure while the Fire Department battled the fire. Sedalia Police arrested Martinez for failure to obey and resisting arrest.
Sedalia Police are investigating a reported assault that occurred in the area of Southwest Boulevard and Station Avenue.

A man in the area of South Harding and East Broadway reported to Sedalia Police that his ex-girlfriend stole a Samsung Galaxy S5, valued at $750.

Sedalia Police received a report that a former employee of Breaktime stole $122.51 worth of various food items and lotto tickets in the last couple of months.

Sedalia Police went to Breaktime, at 808 East Broadway, yesterday morning (June 9) on a report that a woman concealed items and left the store without paying.

An employee of Casey's, at 3050 South Limit, reported to Sedalia Police that there was a $22.73 gas drive off.

The Assistant Superintendent of the Sedalia School District reported to Sedalia Police yesterday (June 9) that someone damaged the grassy area behind Skyline Elementary, the grass area around the playground and the Susie Ditzfeld Memorial Stadium Field, causing $3,000 in damages.

Sedalia Police received a report from two homes near Vermont Park, in the area of South Moniteau and West 13th. Someone drove through two yards on Monday (June 8) and ripped grass from the yard, causing at least $75 in damages for both yards.

An employee of Thompson Car Wash found a license plate at the car wash on June 5 and gave it to Sedalia Police, since nobody came to claim the license plate.

A book bag was found in the 2700 Block of West 16th, yesterday (June 9).

Sedalia Police arrested Ronald Hines of Knob Noster for an outstanding warrant, bond set at $250 cash.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Dmitriy Ovseychuk in the area of Highway 50 and Industrial Drive for driving while suspended, following to close to another vehicle and no seat belt.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Dustin Lee McIlroy for possession of marijuana.
