Sedalia Police received a call from the Jackson County Children's Division on Monday (May 4). The reporter gave details about a possible sexual assault that occurred over a period of time, involving a juvenile in the area of Spring Street and West Liberty Park Boulevard.
Yesterday morning (May 5), Sedalia Police received a report of a disturbance, involving a weapon. A man accused a woman of attempting to assault him with a machete in the area of East 7th and South New York. There were no injuries and the female denied the accusations. Sedalia Police did not apply any charges to this incident.
Two residents in the area of West 14th and South Stewart reported to Sedalia Police yesterday (May 5), that someone shot the exterior of their homes with a pellet gun.
Sedalia Police received a report yesterday (May 5), that somebody stole a 39-inch Hisense flat screen tv, valued at $280, from the Econo Lodge of Sedalia. There was also $75 in damages done to the business.
A man in the area of West 7th and South Vermont reported to Sedalia Police yesterday (May 5), that someone stole $60 in food items from a locked freezer in the common area of the apartment building.
A woman in the area of 9th and South Moniteau reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke the rear window out of her 1994 Blue Ford Aerostar van, causing $50 in damages yesterday (May 5).
Pettis County Deputies received a report of a theft that happened in the area of East Boonville and Watson Street, between 6 p.m. on May 4 and 9:59 yesterday morning (May 5).
There was a two-vehicle accident near Highway 50 and Sunset, yesterday afternoon (May 5). 24-year-old Heather Avey's vehicle was eastbound on Highway 50, near Sunset Drive, in the outside lane when a vehicle, driven by 21-year-old Jeffrey Garber stopped quickly in front of her. The vehicles struck each other. Avey's vehicle had minor damage to the front end, while Garber's vehicle had moderate damage to the rear end.
Sedalia Police arrested Lesley Kimbrell for trespassing at State Fair Quik Lube, bond set at $283 cash/surety.
Sedalia Police arrested Romeo Taylor for a Pettis County warrant, bond set at $100 cash.
Pettis County Deputies arrested Christopher Kay on an active Pettis County warrant for his arrest on a failure to appear charger after a vehicle stop.
