The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's crime reports are from the morning of Wednesday, September 24, 2014.

A Mail Carrier Was Bit

A dog attacked a mail carrier in the 1800 Block of South Summit. The mail carrier reported to Sedalia Police that the dog jumped the fence, bit his mail bag and pulled him down to the ground. The dog was pepper sprayed and it ran back to the yard. The owner, Jeffrey Garrigus, was issued a municipal summons for animal biting or attacking persons.

Sedalia Police Investigate a Sexual Molestation

Sedalia Police received a report of a sexual molestation case in the 1300 Block of South Lamine.

Several Thefts and Property Damage Reported

Pettis County Deputies received a report that somebody stole an iPhone from the area of the 3200 Block of West 16th Street, between 10 and 11 yesterday morning (Sept. 23).

A woman in the 500 Block of North Washington reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke in and cut the copper piping underneath the house, causing water to come out from underneath the home.

A woman in the 1000 Block of East 15th reported to Sedalia Police that someone known to the family, bullied her 11-year-old son and caused minor injuries to him.

A woman reported to Pettis County Deputies that somebody stole her prescription glasses from her home in the 2800 Block of Ingram.

Several Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Ashley Burks for a probation violation, bond set at $4,500.

Sedalia Police arrested Courtney Bunch for failure to appear, bond set at $500 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Holli Milak and Kelly Graham for stealing 14 items, totaling $374.01 from Walmart.

Sedalia Police arrested Alvin Brown Jr. for trespassing in the Sedalia Police Lobby, after he yelled and cursed and spat on the floor of the lobby. Brown was asked to leave and would not.

Sedalia Police arrested Felicia Byrd for possession of marijuana.

Sedalia Police arrested Edwin Goss for failure to obey.
