Around 8:25 in the morning on Monday (April 25th), Sedalia Police officers were dispatched to the Crown Hill Cemetery Maintenance Building for a reported vandalism. Eggs and fruit had been thrown at the exterior wall of the building. There was no damage and there are no suspects.

 

Just before 2:00 Monday afternoon (April 25th), officers responded to a vehicle accident in the area of 7th Street and Limit Avenue. Upon contact with one of the driver's, he was found to have an active warrant from the state of Kentucky. Arrested at the scene was 30-year old Justin Lee Smith, on charges of being a fugitive from justice and driving while suspended. He was placed on a 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail.

 

On Monday afternoon (April 25th) around 1:45, a woman came into the police station to report a theft. She stated that she rented a house to some tenants in the 600 block of East 11th Street. When the tenants moved out, they stole a gas stove valued at around $500.00. No further details were listed in that report.

 

Just after 2:00 in the afternoon on Monday (April 25th), Pettis County Sheriff's deputies arrested Devin S. Hughes, in the 400 block of South Ohio Avenue, for an outstanding warrant.
