Around 9:30 in the evening on March 30th, Sedalia Police officers were dispatched to 305 East Chestnut Street, which is the Sedalia School District #200 Maintenance Building, in regards to a reported theft. A witness stated he watched two suspects pull up to the building in a vehicle, hook on to an asphalt machine, and pull away with the item. The theft was officially confirmed and the asphalt machine is valued at $20,000.00.

 

Around 7:45 in the evening on March 30th, officers conducted a warrant check on a subject in the 900 block of East 6th Street. The subject had an active warrant from Miller County for nonsupport of a child. 31-year old Gary Ray Scott was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $17,000.00, cash only.

 

Early this morning, around 12:20, officers conducted a traffic-stop in the area of East Main Street and Lamine Avenue. Contact was made and dispatch confirmed that 30-year old Jeremy L. Simmons had an active felony warrant. Simmons was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a bond placed at $20,000.00, with 10% cash or surety.

 

On March 30th, Pettis County Sheriff's deputies took a report, of the theft of two tires from a property in the 4900 block of Highway 50, in Pettis County. That investigation continues....
