Early in the morning of January 5th, around 2:03, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of West Broadway and South Barrett Avenue, for a defective tail-light. Upon contact with the driver and passengers, probable cause was established to search the vehicle and occupants. The search revealed a felony amount of marijuana, drug packaging material, drug paraphenalia, and money that is suspected profit from drug sales. The 17 year old driver was arrested for drug charges with the intent to distribute. Bond was set at $50,000.00.

Around 5:36 in the evening of Janaury 5th, police responded to the 100 block of East 16th Street in reference to a possible stolen vehicle. The vicitm stated that while he was in the business, someone stole his vehicle, which is described as a 1991 black Chevy 1500 regualr cab, with Iowa registration. The investigation is underway....

Just before 9:00, Tuesday night, police responded to Wal-Mart, located at 3201 West Broadway for a theft that had occurred on January 3rd. Two subjects had allegedly been walking around the store, selecting various items. The subjects walked out of the store without paying. The total value of the items taken, was placed at $132.43. The suspects have not been identified at this time.

Early this morning, Pettis County Sheriff's Deputies arrested William C. Gardner of Sedalia, for driving while revoked or suspended, speeding, and a Benton County warrant with a bond set at $300.00 cash only.
Around 1:15 this morning, Pettis County Deputies arrested Charles Monteer of Sedalia in the 2800 block of TT Highway on an active Clay County warrant.
Also arrested, was Jessica Brown of Sedalia, on an active Pettis County warrant.
On January 5th, Pettis County Sheriff's Deputies took a report of a burglary that occurred in the 40 block of Covered Bridge Road.
