On April 4th, Pettis County Sheriff's deputies arrested 55-year old James R. Hood, of Sedalia, for an active felony warrant.

 

Just after 2:00 in the morning on April 3rd, Sedalia Police officers were dispatched to the area of Ohio Avenue and 16th Street, in reference to a vehicle that almost struck a sign at a local business. The caller stated that, they thought the subject may be intoxicated. The officers located the vehicle and contact was made with the driver. It turned-out that the driver was not intoxicated. A check through dispatch, however, confirmed that the driver had a revoked license. Arrested at the scene was 44-year old Peirre Dedric Sams. He was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.

 

Just before 11:00 in the evening on April 3rd, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of West Henry Street, in regards to a hit and run accident. A witness heard a vehicle crash and allegedly observed a vehicle driving through a neighbor's lawn. The vehicle was located and it turned out the driver was intoxicated and ran into a concrete drainage ditch. 44-year old Alejandro Avila was arrested for DWI and careless driving. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail. No injuries were reported.
